Maudry Theriot

Maudry Theriot, 93, of Nederland, died Monday, January 11, 2016. She was born on November 25, 1922, in Abbeville, Louisiana, to Eloise and Rene Theodore Broussard.
Maudry belonged to several square dance clubs and loved to travel. She enjoyed painting and was very artistic. Maudry was a member of Dawn Group at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She also was a longtime member of  Les Acadiens Du Texas and Les Chanteurs Acadiens.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen King and her husband, Bob, of Shreveport, Louisiana and Susan Lee of Nederland; son, Floyd John Theriot of Nashville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and sister, Earline Kube of Groves.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty years, Floyd Theriot, Sr.; son, Ronnie Theriot; sister, Marline Harrington; and great – grandson, Colby.
A gathering of Mrs. Theriot’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2016, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Theriot’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 700 North Street Suite M, Beaumont, Texas 77701, or to a charity of your choice.
