Lovenia Clotiaux, 85, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur.
She was born on August 17, 1930 to Maria Touchet Lemaire and Auril Lemaire in Abbeville, Louisiana. Lovenia has been a resident of the Port Arthur/Groves area for 60 years. She worked at Kress’s Department Store and Val Verde Day Care for several years. Lovenia was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, William Clotiaux.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Clotiaux of Groves, Glenda Vaught of Fort Collins, Colorado, her two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her step brother, Lloyd LeBlanc of Louisiana.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. J. C. Coon serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
