Douglas Farrell Thomas “Duggie Fresh”

Douglas Farrell Thomas, 64, of Port Arthur passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016. A native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, he was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was a member of First Sixth Street Baptist Church until the Lord called him home.
Douglas is preceded in death by his wife Deborah; father Joseph Thomas and mother Enola Keys Thomas. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Douglas (Monical) of Houston, TX and Tara Thomas Williams of Baytown, TX; siblings, Jo Carolyn Hayward (Rhudell Sr.) of Oakland, CA, Bryon Thomas (Pricilla) of Stockton, CA, Richard Dean Thomas, Sr. (Cassandra), Arnold and Stephenia Thomas and Myrna Barnes all of Port Arthur, TX; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at First Sixth Street Baptist Church with a viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Harold Leo Keys will officiate. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
