The University Interscholastic League heard an appeal from officials at West Brook High School on Thursday to move the Bruins into another district for the next two sports years.

The UIL decided to move all West Brook sports teams except football into District 22-6A and to keep the Bruins in 12-6A for football.

West Brook will compete against Conroe, Conroe Oak Ridge, The Woodlands, The Woodlands College Park, Lufkin and Montgomery in 12-6A. District 22-6A is made up of Deer Park, La Porte, Pasadena, Pasadena Dobie, Pasadena Memorial, Pasadena Rayburn and Pasadena South Houston.

The Bruins appealed being in District 12-6A, which is in Region II, because of the cost of travel and the time students would spend on a bus during the week.
