I-10 reopens in Orange County; closes in SW Louisiana

Sections of Interstate 10 in Orange County that were closed early Tuesday morning due to flooding have re-opened. At the same time, Louisiana State Police have closed I-10 westbound. Westbound traffic flow and diversion will be handled by Louisiana State Police. Though eastbound lanes of I-10 in Texas are open, that situation could change, Joe Mire, Orange County Emergency Management office public information officer, said.

“Right now the situation is very fluid,” Mire said.

TxDOT will continue to monitor flood waters on the SabineRiver. Long haul travel is recommended to use I-20 rather than I-10.
