Dorothy Faye Landry, 74, of Port Arthur, Texas, was born on January 3, 1942 to the late Hilliard Weber, Sr. and Mary Louise Collins in Charenton, Louisiana. She was raised by the late Alvin Jack, Sr. and Libby Jack due to the untimely death of her mother. Dorothy Landry was a native of Baldwin, Louisiana. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She graduated from Willow Street High School in Franklin, LA in 1961 and was employed by Burns Security and the Port Arthur Independent School District.
Dorothy Landry is preceded in death by brothers; Hilliard Weber, Jr., Alex Weber, Raymond Weber, and Alvin Jack, Jr., sisters; Lillian Bobb and Shirley Jones.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart–St. Mary’s Catholic Church on March 19, 2016. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Live Oak Cemetery. Funeral arrangement is being handled by Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
Dorothy Landry is survived by children, Cheryl Landry of Port Arthur, Texas and Monica Landry-Wilson (Laroderick) of Cedar Hill, Texas; Step-daughter, Evia Michelle Dyer of Houston, Texas. Godmother, Doris Goudeau of Port Arthur, Texas; two godchildren: Edward Henry of Charenton, Louisiana and Dawna L. Weber of Missouri City, Texas. Two Sisters: Verdia Ann Gasper of Franklin, Louisiana and Susie Weber-Freeman (Walter) of Katy, Texas. Sister-in-Laws: Mary Jack of Port Arthur, Texas, Katy Weber of Missouri City, Texas, Menita Weber of Port Arthur, Texas, and Carolyn Landry of Port Arthur, Texas. Best Friend: Barbara Collins of Port Arthur, Texas. Grandchildren: Ayeshia Dickerson of Nederland, Texas, J’Mond Dickerson of Austin, Texas, Kara Branch-Fort (Ricky) of Webster, Texas, Jade Lewis of San Marcos, Texas, Saje Lewis of Houston, Texas, and A’xiria Wilson of Cedar Hill, Texas. Six great-grandchildren: and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
