Luke John Loukas

Luke John Loukas, 90, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Dubuis Hospital – St. Mary in Port Arthur.
He was born on February 19, 1926 to Helen Thomas Loukas and John Loukas in Port Arthur, Texas. Luke was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Luke retired from Drago Supply Company as a salesman after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Port Arthur and St. Michael Orthodox Christian Church in Beaumont.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Fotine L. Richard and her husband, Joseph, his brother-in-law, Stanley Kaffoglou.
Luke is survived by his loving wife, Sophie Laskos Loukas of Port Arthur, his two sons, John L. Loukas and wife, Vicki and their son, Luke John Loukas all of Sulphur, Louisiana, Peter L. Loukas and wife, Gail of Port Arthur.
He is also survived by his sister, Katherine Kaffoglou of Port Arthur, his brother, Thomas J. Loukas and wife, Joyce of Port Arthur, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Trisagion to be prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Luke’s life will be at 10:00 AM Monday, May 16, 2016 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
