PN-GISD recognizes employees, retirees

GROVES — Port Neches-Groves Independent School District recognized long time employees and retirees during a ceremony recently.
The 2016 retirees include:
- Karen Bodden, paraprofessional, Groves Elementary School, 17 years service with the district.
- Mary Smith, fifth grade teacher, Groves Elementary School, 26 years of service with the district.
- David Perkins, special education department, Port Neches-Groves High School, 18 years of service with the district.
- Jay Stone, assistant principal, Port Neches Middle School, 26 years of service with the district.
- Phyllis Trahan, cook, Van Buren Elementary, 31 years of service with the district.
Other retirees include: Matt Burnett, Belinda Mitchell, Diana Morris and Jim Perry.
The 25 year award recipients include: Jeff Cooley, Ron Derry, Kathy Hollier, Kim Riggs, Carrie Sowell, Connie Woodall, Monica Deese, Brenda Duhon, Marc Keith, Kyle Segura and Denise Standley.
The 10 year award recipients include:
Barbara Ailstock, James Arnett, Nancy Atkeson, Michael Baker, Bailey Baxter, Chris Bean, Darren Bell, Jill Cessna, Mandie Champagne, Rose Cibrian, Patricia Devillier, Diane Duplant, Dana Gonzales, Anne Hanks, Kathy Hayes, Dana Jordan, Clare Landry, Alfreda Page, Erin Resch, Paula Ryder, Fay Sherman and Rose Sonnier.
The district also acknowledged the following employees: Mark Brevell, Jennifer Landry, Jason Michalk, Maria Pineda, Robert Smith and Bonnie Snelson.
