The Texas Dall is a popular exotic species of ram found on ranches throughout the state.
They are named after the much larger Dall sheep found in Alaska and in the Northwest Territories of Canada.
These animals tend to live in small herds and will interbreed with other exotic species like corsican and merino sheep. Their horns in some circumstances can grow longer than 40 inches around the curl.
This specimen was photographed on Rocky Top Ranch near Vanderpool.
