Fred Manley, 77, of Nederland, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016. He was born on May 5, 1939, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Betty Marie Caley Manley and Calvin Marion Manley.
Fred retired from the United States Navy after twenty-three years of service as a CPO and from the City of Port Neches after twenty years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling in his motor home.
Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Kathy Manley of Nederland; children, Billy and Theresa Manley of Vidor and Stephanie and Matthew Ryan of Port Neches; grandchildren, Tess, Maci, and Lake Manley and Kaylee and Kelci Ryan; brother, Bernard Manley and his wife, Judith, of Waterloo, Iowa; niece, Brenda Slagle and her husband, Mike, of Groves; and niece and nephews, Lynn, Mike, and Todd Manley, all of Waterloo, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Jane Manley.
A gathering of Mr. Manley’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
