Sherell Denise Baker, 42, of Richmond, Texas passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at Park Plaza Medical Center in Houston, TX, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Sherell was born April 5, 1974 to the union of Harold “Snake” and Brenda Baker. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a Master in Business Administration, she was employed as a human resource consultant with Invesco Investment Company.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

She is survived by her parents, Harold “Snake” Baker (Anita) and Brenda Baker-Thomas (Charlie); grandmother Erma Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
