Viola Menard Lege

Viola Menard Lege, 81, of Port Neches, died Sunday, September 25, 2016. She was born on February 3, 1935, in Guydan, Louisiana, to Orelia Mott Menard and Philbert Menard.
Viola worked as an LVN for several years. She enjoyed traveling, working in the garden, and going to the casino. Viola also enjoyed eating crawfish and sewing. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Michael Paul Lege and his wife, Darlene, of Beaumont; daughters, Melissa Seymour and her husband, William, of Houston and Lisa Gilchriest and her husband, Nick, of Port Neches; and grandchildren, Bree, Travis, and Austin.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Freddy Lege; parents, Philbert and Orelia Menard; and her ten siblings.
A gathering of Mrs. Lege’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her memorial service to follow at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
