BEAUMONT — This match truly went down to the wire.

The first two sets between Port Arthur Memorial and Central were decided by two points each, but Memorial pulled out a narrow win in the fifth set to take the match in District 22-5A play. Memorial won 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13.

Nayla Bazile totaled 27 attacks and 22 kills for the Titans, who are tied for fifth place in the district at 4-6. Riyah Collins added nine attacks and eight kills, Diamond Newsome finished with six and four, Jamiyah Dixon had five and four and LaEricca Lambert totaled four and two.
