Groves shooting victim in stable condition

GROVES — A Groves man is in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont after being shot three times Wednesday night.
Groves City Marshal Norman Reynolds Jr. said the shooting happened around 8 p.m. in the parking lot at Beverly Place Apartments, 5307 Gulfway Drive.
The victim, who is in his late 20’s, was found lying between two cars with gunshot wounds to the chest, arm and pelvic area, he said.
Police had not had a chance to speak with the man as of 3 p.m. Thursday.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
