KAYAK SERIES WEIGH-INS NEXT WEEKEND

Mid-County Ram, 8181 Memorial Blvd., will host weigh-ins for the inaugural Elite Kayak Series Open, an event of the Professional Kayak Anglers Association, next Friday and Saturday.
The event is presented in conjunction with the Port Arthur Convention and Visitors Bureau, the PKAA and the dealership. Activities will begin at 1 p.m. daily with weigh-ins at 3 p.m.
A $10,000 check will await the top finisher with a full 50-angler field. The winner will be recognized at the Elite Redfish Series Classic Kickoff as part of Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas, Feb. 24-26.
The event is just the first in a new series that will find professional kayak tournaments at each location the Elite Redfish Tournament Series visits.
Visitors to Mid-County Ram can register to win a Yeti 75 cooler for test driving one of Mid-County’s Ram trucks.
