llstate has come on to the local bowling scene as a co-sponsor along with Energy Country Ford on Thursday night.

Let’s get started with the Thursday night Energy Country Ford/Allstate League as it produced three of the top five bowlers for the week. Chris Rhodes led all bowlers this week as he strung together games of 202-257-279 for a nice 738 set. Sami Jo Williams continued to light up the lanes as she rolled games of 214-278-216 for a sweet 708 series. Rick Hermsen put together games of 228-217-232 for a 677 set to lead all the senior men this week.

Monday night’s Valero League had the top female senior bowler.

Alice Barnes continues to dominate for the senior ladies. Alice had games of 281-169-227 for a 577 set.

The Saturday morning youth league, Stars of Tomorrow, had Brandon Bertrand crushing the lanes to the tune of 168-256-195 for a strong 619 series.

This column is wishing a quick recovery to Michelle and Steve Powell’s grandson, who is in the hospital in Houston. Also, our deepest condolences to the family of Steve Comer, who lost his brother over the weekend.

One last item: a big Max Bowl shut out to all the bowlers who are veterans. Happy Veterans Day and thank you for all that you have given to keep this great country a free nation.
