The Texas Department of Public Safety is responding to a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 10, near Vidor, in Orange County at this time – shortly before 12:30 p.m.  Preliminary reports are that the crash is contained in the eastbound traffic lanes of the Interstate at mile marker 858.  There are reports of several injuries; however, the extent of those injuries are unknown,. according to a press release Texas DPS Sgt. Stephanie Davis.

 Troopers and emergency personnel are in route to the crash scene; therefore, details are extremely limited.

Motorists are urged to find alternate travel routes and to avoid the area.
