Key to better schools

I believe that the school system is accomplishing the mission it was designed to achieve. Yet, the system has been in a failure mode for years. The school system: however will not accept the responsibility for this failure. They blame the lack of parental involvement.
If the system knows the cause of the problem; lack of parental participation, why doesn’t the system solve this problem. Throwing more money at facilities, teachers, equipment etc, has not worked.
The truth of the matter is that the school system nor anyone can solve this problem. As a practical matter, parents are outside their control. And, parenting may get worse; after all, no one ever taught them how to parent. Besides, home, with 101 distractions, is the worst place to do homework. Parents today are; too busy, are exhausted at day’s end, don’t care, depend on the school system, they know little about the subject matter, and feel intimidated.
The solution is that the educational system needs to accept accountability and the responsibility for teaching children how to learn. This solution lies well within their mission.
