Angelina led 4-0 going into the sixth inning, when Kayla Sheridan led off with a single and scored on an Alexis Perez double. Ashley May doubled in another run, and Makenzi Malloy was hit by a pitch with bases loaded to narrow the deficit. But Angelina shortstop Miranda Wiggins ended the threat with an unassisted double play, catching a liner and tagging third for the third out.

Lamar State lost its first game in the tournament Saturday to Bossier Parish (La.) Community College, 8-0. Bossier scored seven runs in the third inning.
