Rodney Roberson

Rodney Roberson was born on May 1, 1937 to the late Holsey and Johnnie M. Roberson in Esterwood, Louisiana. Rodney departed this life on Sunday, May 7, 2017. A 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School and a U S Navy Veteran with 15 years of service also a member of East Mount Olive Baptist Church. He was a dutiful member of the Golden Triangle Voices of Brotherhood and an active soloist with the Carter Chapel CME Church Male Chorus where he was affectionately known as “Cooling Water.”
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 17 years Pamela Roberson; godchild Mieashia Paddio; two sisters, Dorthea Redd and Maudria Willis (Frederick); two brothers, Warren (Ruthie), and Phillip (Gloria) Roberson and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Christian Wake service will be held at East Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the church, with Rev. Lee E. Fields, Jr. officiating. Viewing beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Park, under the direction of Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
