BREAKING NEWS: Police warn of rise in vehicle burglaries
Published 5:01 pm Friday, June 2, 2017
Nederland and Port Neches Police Departments issued an alert to area residents about a recent rash of vehicle burglaries.
“For the past several days area police departments have worked several daytime auto burglaries. The common denominator in these burglaries is that the victims had all just left their bank and had withdrawn money. It appears a black male subject in a late model white Buick LaCrosse (the vehicle is missing the front license plate) has been observing the banks and following the victims to their destinations. After the victims arrive at their destinations and leave their vehicle, the suspect then breaks into the vehicle. Cash as well as valuables have been taken.”
Citizens are asked to be observant while leaving the banks and if anyone sees a vehicle matching this description please contact your local police immediately.
