Jalen J. Johnson, 24, of Port Arthur, TX was called home on Friday, December 23, 2017 in Longview, TX. He was a member of Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ and an active member of the community. He was known by “JDUBB of 4/5” by his friends and family. Jalen was an upcoming artist and a graduate of Memorial High School Class of 2011.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ with Bro. Frank Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
Jalen is preceded in death by aunt Kimberly Green Murray; great-grandmother Essie Mae Green and brothers, Reginald Savoie, Jacovan Savoie and Chrischaud Reed.
He is survived by his parents Roy and Felicia Johnson; grandparents, Shirley James, Robert B. Green; brother KaJory Johnson, Sr. (Jamarria); sister, Kiera Johnson; niece, Kassidy Johnson; nephew, KaJory Johnson, Jr., niece, Journee Johnson; aunt Tiffany James, uncle Edward James (Meka); and a host of aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
