PA man charged with manslaughter after hotel shooting

One man is dead and another charged with manslaughter after a shooting at Port Arthur Inn on Sunday.

Police were called to the hotel, 3889 Gulfway Drive, at 4:47 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

While there they found man identified as John M. Sinegal, 45, inside the room with a single gunshot wound to the chest.

   Emergency service arrived on scene and transported Sinegal to St. Elizabeth in Beaumont for medical treatment. Sinegal died on the way to the hospital.

    Port Arthur Police Department Criminal Investigation Division was sent to investigate the incident.

From the investigation detectives were able obtain evidence and probable cause to charge Jeremy Mesa Bell, 32, of Port Arthur, with manslaughter and felony in possession of a firearm for the shooting death of Sinegal.
