PORT NECHES — Julia Sion’s shooting from the floor was on point, literally.
Port Arthur Memorial’s junior center shot 6 for 6 from the floor and finished with 13 points Thursday in a 47-35 girls basketball win over Port Neches-Groves, giving the Titans the season sweep over the Indians.
Eight Titans scored Thursday, with Vern’Nequa Davis and Dakayla Miller scoring eight points apiece. Daicha Kimble and Davis each knocked down two of Memorial’s three-point baskets.
Seven PNG players entered the scoring column, led by Chelsea Carrillo’s seven points. Harlee Barnwell added six points.
Memorial (6-18, 4-4 in 22-5A) will host Livingston today. PNG (15-18, 2-6) will play at Lumberton tonight.

PNG 2, SILSBEE 1
LUMBERTON — Preston Riggs and Jadon Lovejoy accounted for both of the Indians’ goals Thursday in the Lumberton tournament.
Sergio Aguilar assisted on one goal and Riggs had the other for PNG (5-3-1).
The Indians will take on Barbers Hill at 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

SPRING — Meg Sheppard came up with a hat trick and led Nederland to an easy win over Dekaney in the Spring tournament.
Jordan Minaldi netted two goals, while Jacqueline Marroquin, Madison Diaz and Phoebe Short each added one.
PNG 0, GEORGETOWN 0
GEORGETOWN — The Indians did not come up with a goal against Georgetown in the Eagles’ home tournament, but coach Aimee Bates said the Indians dominated the game and was happy with the way her team played.
