Audrey Elizabeth Bell Borel

Audrey Elizabeth Bell Borel was born September 20, 1931, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Milton P. and Mary Fant Bell, and died on January 25, 2018. She was 86 years old.

Audrey was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Port Arthur Business College, and the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York City. She was employed by the Texas Company Refinery in Port Arthur for a short time, and after a brief career as a fashion model, met Pvt. Jacque L. Borel and was married in Queens, NY. When he was sent to Korea, she returned to Port Arthur, and made their home together for almost 55 years until his death in 2007.

She worked as a secretary at Texaco Chemical in Port Neches, TX, until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of the United Methodist Temple Wesley Sunday School Class and a 50 year member of Delta Chi Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. In 2011, she relocated to Dallas, TX, living independently and enjoying her new friends in her retirement community.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jacque L. Borel and her grandson Beaux Borel, and is survived by three sons, Jacque Borel and husband Scott Parish of Rowlett, TX, Kenneth Borel and wife Donna of San Antonio, and Richard Borel and wife Renae of Van Alstyne, TX; one brother, Milton H. Bell and wife Hester, of Beaumont, TX;  eight grandchildren: Timothy Borel and wife Toni of Allen, TX, Michael Borel and wife Laura of Little Elm, TX, Amanda Borel of Austin, Allison Borel of Rowlett, TX, Andrew Borel and wife Anna of Plano, TX, Capt. Matthew Borel and wife Kyna of Fort Carson, Colorado, Abigail Borel of San Antonio, and Luke Borel of Van Alstyne. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: William, Jacob, Emily, Olivia, Gwen, Amelia, and Maggie Borel, and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Visitation, Sunday, January 28 from 5-7PM at Levingston Funeral Home, 5601 39th St., Groves, TX 77619. Funeral Service Monday, January 29 at 11AM, also at Levingston Funeral Home.
