A Jefferson County grand jury indicted a Port Arthur man for a fatal shooting at a motel.
Jeremy Mesa Bell, 32, was indicted for manslaughter in the Jan. 7 shooting of John M. Sinegal, 45, at Port Arthur Inn motel on Gulfway Drive. He was also indicted for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Court records show Sinegal suffered from a gunshot wound to the chest and an eyewitness told detectives Bell had a Judge .410 revolver in his possession.
The two were in the room when the gun discharged. Sinegal died on the way to the hospital.
