The Seahawks enter the tournament having won six of their last eight games, including three straight to end the regular season schedule.

Sophomore Rodney Brown led the Seahawks in their victory over Coastal Bend, scoring 12 points, while freshman Alex Williams added 10 in the winning effort.

“Our defense was excellent tonight,” LSCPA coach Lance Madison said. “I knew if we played good defense and we were patient on offense, we’d start scoring some points. This was just a good performance for our guys tonight.”

Freshman Tevin Baker and redshirt-freshman Ethan White each scored nine points, while sophomore Travious Grubbs and freshman Devin Ellis each chipped in eight points.

Coastal Bend moves its regular-season record to 12-13 overall 7-11 in league play with one game left this Saturday when the Cougars take on Angelina College.
