A Spring, Texas man traveling west on Interstate 10 on Saturday died from his injuries after his vehicle struck two concrete walls in Orange County.

A Texas Department of Public Safety report said officers responded to one-vehicle crash near mile marker 859 around 3 p.m.

Preliminary reports said the victim’s Chevrolet Avalanche crashed after the driver for unknown reasons struck the inside concrete wall, veered across the other westbound lanes, then struck the outside wall.

The driver, 50-year-old Daniel Martinez, was ejected from the vehicle, DPS said.

He was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries and was pronounced dead Saturday evening.
