Joseph P. Landry

Joseph Pete “Joe” Landry passed away on March 16, 2018 at the age of 75.

A native of Port Arthur, TX, he was born to Stanley and Angelina Landry and was one of four boys.

Joe graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1961, married Patricia Ann Doyle, and

moved to Nederland, where he lived the next 57 years. Joe worked at Texaco Research Lab as a Refinery Lab Technician for thirty five years before he retired.

Joe was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, TX.  He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, council 5145 for fifty years. He was elected Grand Knight twice and achieved the rank of 4th Degree. He was also very involved in the church’s A.C.T.S. program at St. Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arthur. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia, his children Jodie & John George, Jeff & Lisa Landry, and Jennifer & Lyons Hale, his grandchildren, Jacob, Vivian, Joshua, Jacob, and Rosalie, his brothers, David & Nancy Landry and Richard & Cheryl Landry, and his sister in law Theresa Landry, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday March 20 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (Rosary at 6:30 pm) at Clayton Thompson Funeral home, located at 5200 39th St. Groves, TX. A funeral mass will be celebrated March 21 at 10:00 am at St. Charles Catholic Church, located at 211 Hardy Ave. Nederland, TX. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, TX.

The Landry Family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our friends for their loving care and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Landry’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association at ALZ.org or the retired priest fund of the Archdiocese of Beaumont.
