Gordon Neal Satterwhite

Gordon Neal Satterwhite, 85, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.
Gordon was born on April 1, 1933 in Shelbyville, Texas to Grady and Verne (Boles) Satterwhite. He was married to the loved of his life Lois Satterwhite for 65 years and they had four children, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He proudly served in the United States Army and worked for Gulf Oil for 34 years until his retirement. Gordon was a master at any trade but his greatest joy was working in his yard or someone else’s yard.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Satterwhite; daughter, Susan Hilton; brother, Grady Satterwhite; and sister-in-law, Betty Satterwhite.
He is survived by son, Michael Satterwhite (Cathy); daughters, Cathy Broussard (Ray), and Ann Landry (Gene); grandchildren, Stephanie LeJune, Jana Satterwhite, Jacob Broussard, Kristen Abshire, Kacie Young, Cari Hicks and Ashley Morphey; great-grandchildren, Trey Miller, Kennedy LeJune, Tatum Feldshau, Finley Abshire, Ethan Dunlap, Madison Dunlap, Andrew Young, Lily Broussard, Jaxx Broussard and Juna Satterwhite.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Broussard, Bryan Young, Ethan Dunlap, Jonathan Morphey, Trey Miller and Wayne Miller.
A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Jason Martin from First Baptist Church in Port Neches officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Special thank you to Carolina, Ida and to all of the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice of Beaumont for the excellent care of our father. Gordon’s sense of humor and great laugh will be greatly missed.
