Neches Federal Credit Union is bringing the World Series Champion Houston Astros Shuttle Crew and Orbit to southeast Texas.

By now, the 2017 World Series win by the Astros is the stuff of legend. A region devastated by Hurricane Harvey needed some good news. Communities across the area rallied behind the ball team, watching as the club went on to break a franchise record and win its first ever World Series trophy.

And now Neches is giving Astros fans of all ages a chance to celebrate. The credit union is bringing Astros Shuttle Crew to its Port Neches branch at 2239 Nall on April 28. The event is free.

The crew will be there from 10 a.m. to noon and they’ll be joined by Orbit, the Astros mascot, at 11 a.m.

“We just thought it was a good thing to do for our members and the community,” said Jason Duplant, VP of Marketing & Business

Development. “We’re actually giving away an Astros suite for a game as part of promotion, so everything just kind of came together.”

Fans can take part in this activity day and have photos taken and a chance to win special prizes including Astros merchandise.

Neches Federal Credit Union is a community credit union serving Jefferson, Hardin, Orange, Tyler, Jasper, Newton, Chambers and Liberty Counties, according to a press release.
