PORT NECHES — The faithful came together as one to worship, enjoy some Christian music and fellowship during Faith & Family Night at Port Neches RiverFest on Wednesday.
The entertainment complex area was filled with booths selling treats and snacks and a prayer tent was available for those in need of solace. Janet Jones and CynD Fann sat together at the entrance to the tent waiting to share the Lord with others.
Jones said she lives a prayerful life and they are there to support those who know God.
“Basically it’s part of evangelism,” Jones said.
Fann agreed.
“Sometimes we just need a little help to connect,” Fann said.
James Rodriguez was there with sons Anthony and Brett. He said he regularly attends the event and enjoys getting together with others for fellowship and seeing all of the different religions together having a good time.
After opening ceremonies the Rev. Donny Robbins of LIFE Church offered prayer and blessings for all in attendance. Robbins along with LIFE Church Worship Team kicked off the musical entertainment with Micah Tyler set to perform later that night.
RiverFest continues Thursday through Sunday at Port Neches Riverfront Park.
