Bridge City senior Max Baker (center), surrounded by family, signed a letter of intent Friday with Lamar University to compete in track and field. Baker, the Bridge City athlete of the year, finished seventh in the 4A state long jump last Friday after winning the District 22-4A and 4A area championships.
