TRACK: Vincent, LSU 4×100 to run in nationals

Published 7:47 pm Saturday, May 26, 2018

Port Arthur freshman Kary Vincent Jr. is just one meet from winning a national championship at LSU.

Vincent helped the Tigers run the second-fastest time in the 4×100-meter dash Saturday in the NCAA East Preliminary meet in Tampa, Florida. Their time of 39.16 seconds trailed only Florida State’s 39.12, but each team that finished in the top three of each heat plus those with the three next best times advance to the national championships, June 6-9 in Eugene, Oregon.

LSU was the top seed in the East, having run 38.76 earlier this month in the SEC championships.
