Della Mae Freeman

Della Mae Freeman of Port Arthur, Texas died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Serenity House in Beaumont, Texas.  Della Freeman was born on January 30, 1914 to Henry Hunter and Ida Carter Hunter.  She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933.  Moved to California in 1958 where she met her husband of 42 years, Ernest Freeman, who passed away in 1999.  Della returned to Port Arthur in 2005.

Della was a faithful member of Harvest Time Bible Church under the leadership of Dr. Marvin E. Moore where she was known to everyone as “Mother Freeman”.  She lived a fruitful and inspirational life of 104 years.

A visitation is scheduled from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Harvest Time Bible Church. Funeral services will follow immediately thereafter.  Dr. Marvin E. Moore will be officiating. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Della Freeman is survived by her son, Darrel Ernest Freeman, his wife, Elizabeth and two grandsons, Dylan and Devyn and a host of great nieces and nephews; cousins;  family members from Dayton, Texas; and a host of spiritual daughters from Crenshaw Christian Center in California.
