On Thursday, July 5, 2018 John Lee Bernard, Sr. traded his earthly life for peaceful rest. God made His decision that it was time for John to take his crown in glory in his Kingdom with his heavenly family.

He leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife for thirteen years Linda Bernard; along with the sweet memories of his daughters; Verenda Antoine (Ervin), Stacie Rivers (Glen), Stephanie Collins-Lute, Danna Adams, Andonnia Donna Lowe, Mavis Bernard, Romana Lowe, Tonya Spain, Adrienne Bernard; sons; children; John Bernard Jr. (Mahila), Donald Bernard, Delvin Jackson, Murphy Bernard and Shawn Bernard; god children; Justyce and Alexis Dixon; step-sons; Craig and Marcus Carrier; his nieces; Brenda and Bridget Bush, Alisha Williams, Jasmine Basier, his caring nephews; Arthur Bush Jr., John Eric Bush, Charles Guidry Jr., Aaron Levine; brother in law; Harvey Dixon; one mother in law Georgie Thomas; forty-nine grandchildren; fifty-nine great grandchildren; and a host of cousins and close friends.

Memorial service will be 6:00PM Thursday, July 19, at Hannah Funeral Home, Chapel, with viewing beginning at 5:30PM. Interment at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas. Services entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
