Lucille Lavina Dionne

Lucille Lavina Dionne, 98, of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Lucille was born on November 8, 1920 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to Lavina Lily (Pellerin) and Francis Key Martin. She has lived in the Port Arthur area for 90 years and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Lucille enjoyed doing arts and crafts, quilting and crocheting. She was very active in her community working as a Pink Lady at St. Mary’s Hospital, on the Altar Society at St. James Catholic Church, volunteering at The Hospitality Center in Port Arthur and was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Lucille was a loving person who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edgar Paul Dionne, her brothers, Lewis Martin and Key Martin.

Lucille is survived by her children, Paula Dufour and her husband, Roger in Victoria, Daryl Dionne and Mark Dionne both of Beaumont.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 10:00 am at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, celebrant will be Rev. J. C. Coon. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
