Martin Haseloff

Martin Haseloff, 86, of Port Neches passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
He was born on March 16, 1932 to his parents, Herman Haseloff and Annie Ehler Haseloff in Muldoon, Texas. Martin was raised by his foster parents, Lottie and Obed Wright. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Martin was a resident of the area for over 50 years. He began his career as a pipefitter with Jefferson Chemical which became Texaco and he retired from Huntsman with 35 years of service in all. Martin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved being out in his yard planting and picking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his foster parents and his wife, Freddie Haseloff, 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
Martin is survived by his three daughters, Brenda Wyble and her husband, Chris of Lumberton, Dianne Alphin and her husband, Steven of Nederland, Sherri Ishmael of Orange, his step-daughter, Diane Morua and her husband, Jesse of Nederland, two step-sons, Carl Broussard of Nederland, Joe Broussard and his wife, Stacey of Fannett along with 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is survived by his friend Leana Moon and by his brother, Helmuth Haseloff of Woodville, Texas as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves. Service to honor Martin’s life will be at 10:00 AM Friday, February 1, 2019 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
