Mrs. Mildred Marks of Port Arthur, Texas died Friday, February 15, 2019 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.  A native of Jeanerette, Louisiana, she was a resident of Port Arthur for 72 years and was a dedicated wife and mother.  She was a 64 year member of Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Sunday school as a teacher and superintendent.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 with visitation from 9 a.m. until commencement of service at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter, Glenda Gabriel (Alvin) of Missouri City, TX; sons, Marvin Marks, Kenneth Marks (Dianne) and Ralph Marks, Jr. all of Port Arthur, TX; brother Albert Prenell Jr. of Beaumont, TX; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
