Joseph Henry Leger

Joseph Henry Leger, 73, of Lumberton, formerly of Port Neches, died Sunday, March 3, 2019. He was born on December 18, 1945, in Kaplan, Louisiana, to Willa Mae Roche Leger and Howard Claude Leger.
Joseph was a United States Navy veteran. He retired as a lineman from Gulf States.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Cheryl Leger of Lumberton; daughters, Carrie Fischer and her husband, Robert, of Lumberton and Dee Dee Foret and her husband, Tony, of Vidor; grandchildren, Ryan Fischer, Stephynn Miller, and Lane Dodson; and one great-grandson, Dax Fischer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nader Robertson.
The family would like to thank Texas Home Health, especially Paige, Nina, Shelbi, Kallie, Cori, Miranda, Emily, and Dr. Levine, for the care and compassion they gave to Joseph.
A gathering of Mr. Leger’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street Nederland. His graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches.
