Goldie Mae Murray Anderson

Mrs. Goldie Mae Murray Anderson transitioned to her Heavenly home on Friday, March 1, 2019 at home surrounded by her loved ones. A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, she was a resident of Port Arthur for 73 years. She was a homemaker dedicated to taking care of her family. She was a member of the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the Mother of the Church, a Deaconess, a Sunday school teacher, and she served on the hospitality committee. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers and three sisters, her husband, William J. Anderson and one child.

Survivors Include: three sons, Paul Anderson, William Anderson (Lisa), DonaId Anderson (Barbara), two daughters, Pamela Anderson, Shawne Anderson, 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Solid Rock Baptist Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
