Deborah Sue Taylor, 68, of Vidor and formerly of Nederland passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at her residence in Vidor.
She was born on September 25, 1951 to her parents, Harold Shavers and Lula Dubuisson Shavers in Port Arthur, Texas. Deborah graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969. She lived most of her life in Port Arthur area and Mississippi. She worked as a dispatcher for Martin Gas for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dolores Shavers Moran.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Dacquiri Taylor and her husband, Jerry Bush of Port Arthur, her two sons, Brandon Taylor of Nederland, Corey Taylor and his wife, Angie of Nederland, nine grandchildren, Andrew Taylor, Jordan Schneider, Kelsi Taylor, Koby Taylor, Austin Taylor, Korey Taylor, Kallye Taylor, Brittany Taylor, Kaiden Taylor, two great grandchildren, Brandon Taylor, Karder Borel. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte Ransonette of Vidor, her brother, Julius Dubuisson of Long Beach, Mississippi.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves. Service to honor Deborah’s life will be at 10:00 AM Monday, March 18, 2019 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens in Nederland.
Special thanks to Hospice Plus, her special friends, Tommie Sue Rose Erwin, Jimmie Lou Rose LaBove, Pat Beavens, Pat Hebert Kemper, Kathy Drouet Woods, Charlotte Lange and Brenda Hughes McKee for all the phone calls, cards and visits. They kept her laughing all through her illness.
