Clara L. Ratcliff of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, TX.  A native of Ville Platte, LA, she was a resident of Port Arthur, TX for 70 years and was employed by Port Arthur Independent School District.  She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with visitation from 8 a.m. until service time.  Father Anthony Afangide will officiate.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

She is survived by her significant other, Willard Harrison; children, Eva Phagan of Alvin, TX, Portia Harrison of Stafford, TX, Carlotta Allen of Richmond, TX and Van James Ratcliff of Waller, TX; siblings, Ransom Jr., Paul, Doris and Mary Strawder of Houston, TX, Gay Shilo of Katy, TX, Rose Addison of Tulsa, OK, John LaFleur of Baton Rouge, LA, Ronald LaFleur of Port Arthur, TX, Clement LaFleur, Jr., Janice Bias, Carlene Ardoin of Ville Platte, LA, Sabia Williams of Round Rock, TX; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Barbara Jacket of Prairie View, TX; devoted friend, Joyce Norwood of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
