Dorothy M. Thomas, 95, of Port Arthur, TX transitioned peacefully Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Summer Place Nursing Center.  A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, she was a member of Christ Temple Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas; her son, Allen Ray Clay; and twelve siblings.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Keith Clay, Shalina Prater, Allen Ray Cooper, Dorothy Cooper and Brico Clay; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.
