BEAUMONT — Due to lightning in the area, rain throughout the day, and travel needs for Rice, Lamar canceled its game against the Owls on Tuesday after three 30-minute lightning delays before the game commenced. There is no scheduled makeup date for the game.
The Cardinals will return to action on Friday in “The Evergreen State”, traveling over 2,000 miles to play a three-game series at Gonzaga. A return flight to DFW International Airport on Monday will see the Cards play at TCU on Tuesday before driving back to Beaumont after the game. The regular season will come to a close on May 16-18 in a three-game Southland Conference home stand against Central Arkansas.
