Josh Miller, 33, of Nederland, died Wednesday, May 29, 2019. He was born October 11, 1985, in Nederland, to Karen Lynn Balitzky Miller and David “Smokey” Miller.
Josh graduated from Nederland in 2004. With his strong work ethic, he became a journeyman iron worker with Local 135 out of Texas City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working out at Exygon and loved to journal in his spare time.
Survivors include his mother, Karen Miller; father, David “Smokey” Miller and his wife, Lacey; daughters, Braylee and Kimry Miller; step-sister, Claudia Vogt; step-brothers, Cody Vogt and his wife, Caitlin and Clint Vogt and his wife, Kelsay; aunt, Lisa Miller and her husband, Charlie Case; maternal grandmother, Juliette Dies; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in dead by his brother, David Gerald Miller; maternal grandfather, Gerald Balitzky; paternal grandparents, Aimee and J.R. Miller; aunts, Gail “Gig” Guidry and Pam Coleman; and uncle John Miller.
A gathering of Josh’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2019, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
