U.S. Marshals continued their search on Thursday for two inmates who walked away from the Satellite Prison Camp I Beaumont on July 12.

Assistant Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Sean Malecha said the USMS are actively working the investigation.

At around 3 p.m. July 12, Salvador Garcia, 59, and Victor Luis Pescador, 56, were discovered missing from the minimum security facility, according to a press release from the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The U.S. Marshal’s Service and other law enforcement agencies were notified and an internal investigation was initiated.

Garcia is described as a white male with black hair and brown eyes, 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds.

Pescador is described as a white male with black hair, brown eyes, 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighing about 210 pounds.

Pescador was sentenced in 2004 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas to 240 months for possession with intent to distribute a quantity of marijuana.

Garcia was sentenced in 2005 for the Southern District of Texas to 240 months for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a quantity of marijuana and knowingly evading reporting requirements with financial institutions as part of a pattern of illegal activity.

The Satellite Prison Camp houses 571 male offenders in Beaumont.

The U.S. Marshal’s Service and other law enforcement agencies were notified and an internal investigation was initiated.
