NEDERLAND — Nederland Independent School District has announced dates and times for registration for the upcoming school year.

Per district policy, residency in NISD is verified each school year and can be provided though one of two documents:

• A house title, mortgage statement or current copy of a rental or lease agreement with the student’s name listed and signed by the landlord or
• A physical paper copy of a current electric bill with the guardians name

In order to receive your student’s schedule and/or room assignment, you must bring these items during the scheduled time listed below:

• Elementary school- room assignments- school cafeteria

Thursday, Aug. 8 — 9 to 11 a.m.

Thursday, Aug. 8 — 5 to 7 p.m.

• Middle schools – schedules- school foyer

Grade 5 — Thursday, Aug. 8 — 9 to 11 a.m.

Grade 6 — Thursday, Aug. 8 — 1 to 3 p.m.

Grade 7 — Friday, Aug. 9 — 1 to 3 p.m.

Grade 8 — Friday, Aug. 9 — 9 to 11 a.m.

Makeup date — Tuesday, Aug. 13 — 5 to 7 p.m.

• High school – schedules- school cafeteria

Grade 9 — Friday, Aug. 9 — 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Grade 10 — Friday, Aug. 9 — 9 to 11 a.m.

Grade 11 — Thursday, Aug. 8 — 1 to 3 p.m.

Grade 12 — Thursday, Aug. 8 —9 to 11 a.m.

Makeup date — Tuesday, Aug. 13 — 5 to 7 p.m.

If you have submitted an intra/inter-district transfer, grandparent affidavit, campus change or power of attorney, you will be contacted by the administration office. Contact 409-724-2391 for more information.

Registration and residency checks are valid for one school year and are checked each school year. No classroom assignments or class schedules will be issued until this is completed.
