NEDERLAND — A Port Neches man was killed following a Sunday evening crash in Nederland, authorities said.
At approximately 7 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the single vehicle crash in the 100 block of FM 366 in Nederland.
The preliminary DPS crash investigation indicates a 2004 Ford pickup truck was traveling eastbound on FM 366.
For an unknown reason, the driver veered to the left striking an unoccupied construction vehicle.
The driver, a 52-year-old male from Port Neches, was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett at the scene.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Authorities said the victim’s name would not be released until next of kin was notified.
Troopers continue to investigate the fatal crash and said Sunday night that all information is preliminary.
