Hotard Coaches, a Louisiana-based charter company, is leasing a 26,503-square-foot property located at 4600 and 4700 Texas 73 in Port Arthur.
Real estate owners of Lee & Associates announced the partnership with the fourth largest fleet transportation company.
Trey Erwin, senior director of corporate industrial services at Lee & Associates said the property originally caught his eye after doing preliminary work in Sabine Pass for Golden Pass LNG.
“I saw this property, it was vacant and I knew immediately it would be a good investment,” he said.
The 10.35 acres sits in the middle of Orange, Beaumont, Sabine Pass and Port Arthur.
“It is logistically well located,” Erwin said. “We wanted to expand into the Golden Triangle, so this seemed like the best way to do that because of all the existing and expanding plants in the immediate area.”
Hotard Coaches and Lee & Associates signed a seven-year lease agreement.
“We are pleased to announce this long-term lease for such a solidified company that has been in business for 85 years,” Erwin said. “They will undoubtedly add significant value to the area LNG projects.”
Hotard Coaches intends to use the 19,530 square feet of warehouse space and remaining 6,973- square-feet office space to provide transportation services for workers in the surrounding areas to shuttle to and from their workplace destinations.
Director of Business Development Gary Chetoni said he is excited to expand into a new location and offer a much-needed service to the Golden Triangle.
“We are just getting started and look forward to gearing up for more opportunities and hiring over the next few years,” he said.
The fully fenced industrial site with outside lighting provides a space for the company to service the bus fleet and house approximately 40 employees.
